Participating Museums

EXPLORATION PLACE. Exploration Place offers visitors of all ages interactive environments, hands-on experiences, high-tech theaters, imaginative spaces, and outdoor recreation, all located on a 20-acre site along the scenic Arkansas River in downtown Wichita.

OLD COWTOWN MUSEUM. Living history, 17-acre site depicting life in Wichita and the southern plains from 1865 to 1880 with 26 historic buildings and costumed reenactors.

THE WICHITA ART MUSEUM. Home to one of the premier collections of American Art in the world with masterpieces by Mary Cassatt, Winslow Homer, Horace Pippin, and Edward Hopper. Visitors will enjoy six exhibitions in the newly renovated Museum.

SOCIETY OF DECORATIVE PAINTERS. View examples of traditional and contemporary decorative painting in the Decorative Arts Collection Museum of Decorative Painting. Painted furnishings, faux finishes and murals are a few of the objects on exhibit. Be the first to see our new traveling exhibit, The Fathers of American Decorative Paintings.

MID-AMERICAN ALL-INDIAN CENTER AND MUSEUM. The museum that offers both the provision of social services for Native Americans in need, and a center where Native Americans can practice their cultural traditions and pass them on to their children.

BOTANICA, THE WICHITA GARDENS. Enjoy themed gardens such as the Butterfly Garden, Shakespeare Garden, Rose and Wildflower Garden and the award-winning Sally Stone Sensory Garden.
